Working Together
I work with professional services organizations whose growth and complexity have outpaced the way they operate.
My focus is on building — and leaving behind — strong operational foundations that balance people, processes, and technology, simplifying complexity and enabling change to be truly absorbed.
Ways of working
I work with clients in two distinct but related capacities, depending on where clarity and support are most needed.
Fractional COO
I work with professional services firms where operational complexity has accumulated over time and there is no single owner of how the organisation functions as a whole.
The work focuses on understanding how the organisation actually operates across people, operations, and technology, and restoring clarity where ownership, interfaces, or decision-making have become diffuse.
Engagements are shaped around the organisation’s current level of complexity, with the aim of reducing friction, strengthening foundations, and leaving behind ways of working that endure.
Executive Coach
I work as a thinking partner to senior leaders and business owners whose role or organisation has become more complex than their current ways of working.
The work focuses on creating space to step back from noise, clarify priorities, and examine decisions in context, particularly where pressure, ambiguity, or competing demands make progress harder.
Engagements are shaped around the leader’s real challenges, goals, and strengths, with the aim of enabling clear decisions, confident action, and follow-through that holds under real-world pressure.
“What set Astrid apart was not just her expertise in project delivery, change management, and stakeholder engagement, but her ability to draw on a coaching mindset. She took the time to understand individual concerns and goals, which built trust and ensured that everyone—from frontline staff to external consultants—felt heard and aligned.”
What working together looks like
Engagements are shaped by context rather than fixed packages.
We begin by clarifying what is actually happening, what matters most now, and where attention will have the greatest impact. From there, the work evolves in response to what the situation requires, whether that is sustained operational partnership, focused advisory support, or a defined period of coaching.
Throughout, the emphasis is on clarity, ownership, and progress that can be absorbed and sustained over time.
“Her calmness, deep expertise, and ability to manage multiple complex projects ensured stakeholders were aligned and comfortable with each phase of the work.”
When this may not be the right fit
This work is unlikely to be a fit where:
There is no willingness to step back and look at the organization or situation as a whole
Decisions are consistently deferred or avoided
Responsibility is expected to be delegated without leadership engagement
The expectation is a quick fix, a tool implementation, or purely tactical execution
Clarity work only succeeds when there is readiness to engage honestly with complexity and make deliberate choices.
